I have a 2000 9-5 2.3t wagon with 5-speed. Around town we get 20 mpg. These are very short trips, 5 miles or so. The manual says that warming up really uses the gas. It is true. Once the car is warm the mileage jumps up. On a trip we get 30 mpg. Of course we keep the car on for hours at a time on a trip.
On a 50 mile commute I would expect in the high 20's.
Drive Safe,
Joe
