After local indy diagnosed my wife's ABA system using code reader only as a solenoid failure and quoting $1,200.00 (costing me $90.00 for this wisdom) I decided to move on......
Sent wife's ABS control module in for rebuild to BBA after accolades on this board posting archives. Got the call that it is not repairable due to "a broken gold wire" inside. They said they could source a used for $400 and would keep looking for a lower price. The British accent on the other end of the phone did not convince me of sophistication or instill trust like many American's feel when watching or listening to TV hosts - why is that??
Anyway, asked that it be shipped back to me and see no evidence of it being opened up along the seams. There is a number scribbled on the top and the works "no fix". I think that means I did not request that it be fixed vs. they couldn't fix.
I paid $21 in shipping for this dis-service.

Part came. Installed it. Everything back to normal. $125.00 including freight.
Spent $111.00 wasted dollars but not too bad for $236.00 total.
Installation and removal time combined = 1-1/2 hours.
I called a salvage yard I
