If left in the sun, my car is jet black and that doesn't help. AC works great if the car is cold though. Just got the windows tinted with 30% Formula One Pinnacle so hopefully that will reduce the load on the AC a bit.
I took my car to the dealer a few times to have them look at the AC, on a trip down to California last year I had it on low (with recirc on) and it didn't seem to get below 60f. They tested it at the dealer and found that the air was 40f, but they tested it in the morning after it was parked inside.
This is my third 9-5 and my 7th Saab, I've found that really good AC performance is not guaranteed with this brand.
