I've read carefully the instructions at saabworld net/f29/saab-9-5-3-0t-v6-alternator-replacement-714/ and everything I can find so far on this site.
However, I can't see any way to get access to the alternator backside bolt and nut as there is an exhaust pipe and mounting bracket in the way. I can find both bolts by feel but have no idea how to get a wrench on them to remove them. Any insight *much* welcomed.
I currently have the engine on all mounts. If I try to raise the engine by jacking below the oil pan, then there is no room for me to work below the car on a creeper. Can I safely raise the engine by jacking below the transmission??
Thanks!
