No, no real reasons why you couldn't do it. Completely insane time wise though but doable.
Hopefully you are doing it just for the fun and experience and not for making any money or raise the value of the car.
Without knowing I would suspect that you have to pull the dash and interior and replace the main wire harness as well through out the car to get it right. Maybe some sheet metal changes here and there where mounting brackets have changed through the years.
My former boss have a knack for doing swaps like that getting a crashed car and move everything into a new body and BOY! is it a lot of small and big things he encounters EVERY time even when it is only one year difference between the cars.
I don't know why he does it and I would never myself start something like that but some likes the thrill (I say punishment).
