Some SIDs are easy to remove but the one in my 2000 was a tight fit.
1) Remove the radio. Buy a set of $4 DIN Radio Removal Tools at Walmart. You may have to grind the notches from a semi-circular shape to a square shape for them to grab the radio latching barbs sufficiently.
2) Reach into the hole in the dash, grab the rear of the SID and pull HARD! It is a friction fit with two square bosses which fall into holes covered by the dash covering.
