2003 V6 3.0T Arc Wagon. Oil cooler sprung a leak at some point while driving on the highway. Just as I came down the exit ramp the radiator sprung a leak and upper radiator hose blew out. 40+ psi oil system vs. 14 psi cooling system. Cooling system never had a chance. Oil & coolant mix everywhere under the hood. No coolant in the oil, yippie. Replaced oil cooler and flushed the cooling system. Replaced the radiator after a lot of flushing of the cooling system. Have now changed the coolant twice, each after about 100 miles of driving. Coolant still foams up a bit but getting cleaner. Is there any way to completely flush the residual oil from the cooling system? Or will I just have to live with it. (Yes, I'm positive that the new oil cooler is not leaking.)

Also, while car was on the rack I noticed a hole in the mid-muffler. Is mid-muffler really essential to noice reduction? Anyone replaced it with a straight piece of pipe? Thank you - Mike
