Engine dies at idle, slower starting Posted by tkell [Email] (#2189) [Profile/Gallery] (more from tkell) on Mon, 15 Oct 2012 13:22:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My wife returned from a 450 mile round trip today in the 03 9-5 ARC. The car drove fine during the trip. However upon returning to Nashville, while driveing a routine errand, the engine died at idle at a red light. She called me, a little panicked, and I went and gave it a couple of tries w/no immediate success, so I pushed into a nearby parking lot. After sitting about 5 minutes, I turned the ignition key and it started right up the second time. But, while driving home it died two times, at a stop sign, and another time at idle. It took another 5 to 10 minutes to start, in - between start ups each time.
It has been taking awhile, upon occasion for it to start up, rather than than firing immediately when you first turn the key.
Electronic ignition coil pack?
Any ideas to start the process?
Thank you!
