I went from a 2000 Base to a 2008 Aero Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 31 Oct 2012 10:27:21 In Reply to: 2003 vs 2008, torkum, Tue, 30 Oct 2012 20:07:52 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
- Radio lost the Weather Band which I used quite a bit.
+ The new radio controls are more intuitive, plus it has a faceplate input for a MP3 player or HD Radio adapter. XM radio is built into the '08 audio system.
+ The new HVAC controls are more intuitive.
- The seat heaters are two step versus three step.
+++ Engine is more powerful, I went from 170HP to 260HP, better than a 50% increase!
- Headlights with the new fascia are a PITA to change, worse if the '08 uses Xenons.
-/+ Dash panel on all but Aeros is a dark smokey wood tone that I don't like, personal taste only.
+ Aero seats are great.
-/+ Still no interior storage.
A great car which I bought for the same reason you are considering this purchase; I loved my old 9-5 and I didn't want to be forced into another car.
