I recently complained that my headlights were flickering while the engine cranked because I seemed to be going through Xenon bulbs pretty quickly (did an aftermarket HID conversion on my 9-5 with halogen headlights). For the past couple weeks I had gotten myself into the habit of switching the lights off on my own every time I started the car. Anyway, I got in yesterday morning to go to work and the battery was DEAD. It was 3.5 years old so I got a new battery ($158 for an Interstate - WTF!?) and the lights ignite and stay lit steadily through cranking! Phew!
