I just picked up a 2001 Aero from a famous auction site with about 123,000 miles. It was very well maintained, but I have been going over it well. There was no sludge issue at all. Very clean engine. It did not have the PCV#6 update. The condition overall was very good to excellent. The day after I brought it home, the cel came on and I determined that the DI cassette was going bad. The compressor was bad when I picked it up, but the owner told me that and gave me a credit for it. There was an oil leak on the front of the engine. Not sure if it is the main seal, leak at the head-block, or perhaps the pcv system was causing extra pressure. (Check valve was bad.) So, like any used car, I took a chance and there are some repairs and money to spend on parts, but overall, I'm really happy. I paid $3000 for it with the credit for the AC. So for yours, yeah, $2500 if it is in pretty good shape. There are some good deals on 9-5's out there now.
