Hi Val M - I always like to do the least amount of work. I would jack up a side at a time, secure car from moving, place car in neutral and spin a tire at a time and see if you hear or feel the possible problem. Also make sure wheels are mounted true. Then attack problem. Also make sure your disc brake guide pins have been maintained to let the caliper(s) move freely.
