I use impact gun but it all comes down to how used to your tools and strength of bolts you are.
When you are working on a regular basis with your air tools, air compressor pressure and bolt sizes you get used to what's good or not and don't need a torque wrench for every bolt.
But since I don't know your setup, proceed with caution since it is technically possible to break the bolt if you keep hammering away with the impact gun.
I can easily tell the difference when a car has been to a quick lube place for an oil change or tire rotation just by the feel of how the drain plug, oil filter or wheel bolts comes loose (or not come loose, I should say) with the regular applied hand force that I'm used to compared to when I have done the work last time.
