auto trans warning light Posted by Don M [Email] (#1349) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Don M) on Wed, 19 Dec 2012 17:03:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I changed the thermostat and a couple of hoses on my 04 and then forgot to reattach the vacuum line to the boost control valve. I assume that's the reason the check engine light came on a little later. I have since reatached the vac line but the light is still on. So like some have said on this board you can clear it buy pulling and reinserting fuse 17 for "engine management". Well I did that and now not only is that light still on but the auto trans warning light is on, too! What's up with that? The tranny shifts ok and it is not in limp home mode. Any ideas what would cause that?
Also, I noticed there is a 1/2" OD rubber hose that comes out of the top of the tranny near the safety starter switch and I can't figure out what it's supposed to connect to. Or maybe it's some kind of vent hose? It's about 18" long. Help!
