Burning electronics smell in cabin, then went away.

We were out running errands and all of a sudden, there was a strong smell of burning electronics, similar to the smell of a burning resistor. We rolled down the windows and maybe 5 minutes later, rolled them back up. The smell was gone, not to return. I've been checking everything in the car and it all seems to function. Wondering what may have burnt? Runs fine - was hoping it was an ignition module (DIC). Ever heard of this?
