Torque rod bushings

The torque rod has two bushings, rod to subframe and rod to engine. Powerflex sells both. GenuineSaab sells just the rod to subframe. Is there any advantage to one or the other or both? Any major difference between the Powerflex and GenuineSaab versions? The price is similar. I can't see the rod to engine bushing condition with the car on the ground. The rod to subframe one is shot.
Can I do this before doing the two upper engine mounts which I likely need as well? I've read that a bad torque rod mount can prematurely wear the upper mounts.
