Head Gasket, Water Pump, Turbo Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Sun, 3 Feb 2013 06:08:22 In Reply to: Dirty coolant reservoir!, Mobbzaab, Sat, 2 Feb 2013 21:59:12 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A compression check will identify if head gasket is good or bad. You can probably borrow a Compression Tester from a local auto parts store to do this check.
If compression check is good, refill coolant and do a thorough visual check of water pump while engine is running and immediately after shut-down. Check all hoses and the Coolant By-Pass Valve (a known weak spot) at this same time.
If all this is good then assume Turbo is shot.
