Unfortunately, the boosters are different and fail in different ways.
Your repair of the Honda was also very common on the 900 up to 1986, just popping in a new rubber seal.
They got smarter and a lot more sinister in that now it is a rubber seal at the back of booster where push rod goes out to brake pedal that wear out and gets dislodged so it is no way to get that rubber seal in again or any chance to repair it except maybe taking it all apart.
Newer Volvo's using a similar model booster of same brand have the exact same problems.
