Same issue inflicted my '07 last year. Since I was still under GMPP, I took it to the dealer who was able to find an exchange from a third party website, and sent my old one in as the core. The third party (some three letter acronym - maybe AES?) sent my CDs back to the dealership and I had them about a month later. Being that it's a GM head unit, there should be a decent aftermarket. Or, if you've got access to a Tech2 and the website, you can just buy a divorced one off of Ebay for $200, marry it to your car, and have the old one as a core in case it happens again.
