The 9-5 rear suspension pretty much requires camber change to help the rear end turn, i.e., reduce understeer. That being the case, stiffening up the rear will reduce understeer. camber change comes from wheel deflection which comes from weight transfer, which you can't change. Body roll changes the mounting angle, which reduces the camber. Working with tire pressures can also reduce understeer - lower in back, higher in front for less understeer. 99s and Classic 900s specify higher pressure in the back than the front to add stability, and the difference can be tire specific. I once had a set of tires that required a 5 psi difference front to back before the car felt stable.
