when to replace fuel pump (and other items)

I have a 2001 9-5 Aero with 78,000 miles. I've owned the car for most of its life. I'd like to get at least 2 more years out of it if I can. I recently started to think about the parts of the car that have NOT been replaced and will surely go sometime soon.
For example, the fuel pump on the car is still the original one. I'm considering replacing this pro-actively rather than waiting for it to go and possibly getting stranded somewhere. Would you spend the money to replace this?
What other items would you replace pro-actively rather than risk getting stuck somewhere (if you knew it was still the original part on the car)?
All the typical recommended maintenance stuff has been done - oil, filters, spark plugs, battery, brakes, etc. I'm looking for things that aren't typically recommended but are likely to break after 13 years and will prevent the car from driving. (A bad seat heater switch wouldn't count.)
thanks
