This week we replaced the heater by-pass valve in my son's new to him 2001 Aero wagon. While we were in there we replaced all the vacuum hoses with blue silicone hoses.

It was amazing how hard the lines were. All of them just broke off when we tried to remove them. I am sure we averted a vacuum leak that was coming soon.

This is a really well kept car, one owner with lots of dealer maintenance. Very well cared for and only 66,000 miles. But those 13 years old hoses were in bad shape.

this is a good maintenance item to put on your list.
