P0106 and low boost - Sensors?

2002 9-5 Aero Automatic 115k. Popped a P0106 error code. Car drives ok stumbles on moderate to hard acceleration and then stalls when driving. Light acceleration and I can drive fairly normal. I notice that the boost moves but not out of the white 1/3 of the gauge. If I leave it in park I can rev it hard to 3000 rpm and it doesn't stumble a bit but the boost doesn't move much either. I looked for vacuum hoses and found the short one from the TB to the firewall off at the TB side. Put it on erased the codes and got a P0106 and P0107. Replaced the hose with new hose erased codes and now just get a P0106 again. I tracked the intake system from the MAF to the TB and everything seems tight and hoses seem firm and tight. If I take it to my Indie I will probably spend 5~800 bucks and get one part replaced....whereas I could spend that on parts and replace a lot. Any suggestions as what to check next and which sensors should I start to replace. Any help is appreciated
