Hood "pad" question Posted by bmacb [Email] (#684) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bmacb) on Fri, 19 Jul 2013 14:10:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I am new to the 9-5 world. The patient is a 2002 9-5 linear with a chewed up hood "pad" which I would like to replace.
My concern is how to deal with a small metal "cup" which is on the back edge of the hood nearest the windshield on the driver's side. It seems to be related to some sort of alarm system. It appears to be riveted in place. It also appears that it must be removed in order to replace the pad. It is not obvious to me how this part should be removed or put back in place.
Any suggestions would be very welcome.
