However to add to the confusion...

if you search eeuroparts for a 2004 9-3ss you get Saab OE: 12777318 (, 12785743 - not sure why they list 2 numbers here)... "fits 03-09 9-3, 06-09 9-5"

do that again for a 2004 9-5, you get Saab OE: 5336250, 0278390, 5142807, 8692006 "fits og9-3, 1999-2010 9-5"

and you also get Saab OE: 0278382 "fits 900 86-, 9000, 1999-2005 9-5, og9-3"

when you search 1990 900, you get 0278382 but you also get a couple orange ones (aftermarket, no saab branded ones anymore?):

Both are labeled Saab OE: 9124132, 9513227, 9521832, but the URO fitment is 1989-1998 900, all 9000, 1999-2000 9-3 and 9-5 (!) while the proparts fitment is 1986-98 900, 9000...

Many of the different lights look different but there is so much overlap that either eeuroparts fitment info is incorrect, or the manufacturers simply label for some intended age range (but fitment is wider) or they have made small differences in various parts that may or may not be compatible with all years, but others are compatible with all years... and some of that is just colour. I'm pretty sure that the lights on our c900s would fit in the 9-5, but ours is a 2004 so I can't test 2006.

All that said, if you search 06 9-5, you get 12777318, so I would order that part!
