I'm not sure of the engine choices for '06, but for '07 I believe they all had the same 260 hp.
The new "Dame Edna" front end was quite controversial at the time, but it's grown on me. I don't mind it at all, might go so far as to say that I prefer it to the 2002. I do also like the look of the '05 Aero front.
Changes to the tailights. The amber turn signal lenses are gone, but at least the flashing turnsignals are still a "proper" amber.
The "Chevy" radio and ACC controls still upset many. The entire dash changed. These have also grown on me. I have to admit that the '02 entire dash had a more European look, but...
The dash material, as well as door liners also changed to a rougher, matte finish.
The seat materials also changed to a couple of different offerings (perhaps a "Premium" option was previously the standard). That's one reason I really wanted the '07 Anniversary model.
Opening the rear "hatch" (I know the old die-hards just threw/spit something at the screen) on the Combi finds a different (less expensive) storage system under the floor with a plastic lift-out tray. Maybe better for some applications. They also removed the pair of interior lights from the inside of the hatch door, have a single (albeit bright) light in the ceiling.
I'm sure there's more interior/exterior changes, and perhaps some engine bay and supsension changes.
All-in-all, if Bambi took out this one, I'd be looking for another '07-'09.
