Hello there. First time posting to this board, hope it goes alright.
I have to replace the Antilock Brake Module on my 2000 9-5 AERO, along with the SID screen. I get my car ready to go to the shop (I didn't feel safe driving it with the module going bad, sat for about 4 months), I pull out of my driveway and make it about 100 yards before I have no more power steering. I limped it back into the driveway to take a look. I am not a mechanic by any means, all of my knowledge is in computers so this is all a learning experience for me.
I can put fluid in and it will sit there when the car is off, when it is turned on the pump pulls every bit out, so I assume that is working correctly. As the pump drains the tank, it throws it all to the floor. I can find limited info around the net, so I thought I would ask the experts here.
What could this be, how do I get to it? I realize that it could also be a number of things that I am unable to get an answer about. Much like a pc, the best way to see whats wrong is to be there. I apologize I can't tell you more at the moment, but I am at a loss. My wife and I just love our AERO and miss driving it around. This Ford Explorer I have to drive around feels horrid in comparison.
Thank you, for any help that you can give. I will be checking up regularly to answer any questions that might be had.
