Wheel arch trim, rear wheels Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Sat, 12 Oct 2013 06:24:23 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Has anyone here removed + reinstalled this successfully? When I did this, I noticed the black rubbery tar-like stuff, cleaned it out, replaced it with acoustical sealant, which in principle should be a good/similar readily available substitute.
The problem is, the trim seems "sprung open" as in it doesn't fit as tightly as it was originally on the car. Is there a way to tighten that up? or are these meant to be 1 time use only? I'm concerned that gunk will accumulate in the gap (specifically winter salt slush mix) and cause corrosion...
thanks!
