I think that is US market only. Um, the lack of an Orange relay, that is...
For some reason, the US market Bi-Xenons are completely different on these cars (2002-2005) than their across-the-pond sisters. Wiring is totally different. One thing is, the Home markets over in Europe actually get the halogen high beams along with the shutter for the Bi-Xenons, where in the US, we do not.
While I, too, loved the Xenon lights from my '02, I've been perfectly happy with the Halogens on my last three 9-5s (2 '99s & a '00). Especially when fitted with Sylvania SilverStar Ultra (marketed with a different name under the Osram brand in Europe) H7s and E-code lenses. After that, I find there's really no need for 100W bulbs...
