which snow tire? how much tread depth? Snow tires are usually a bit more noisy. Yes, you could have damage to the tires on the rear. Do you load the car much at all?
I recently took ours in to check the alignment at our indy because we ate a lot of depth off the inside edge of the rears doing about 1000 miles with the car quite loaded down (on vacation)... The verdict: our alignment was just fine, actually still closer to zero camber (as they shoot for there). What happens is when the car is loaded and the rear sags camber is off and you get worse wear... ie the car`can be aligned fine with the right ride height nominally and still get these wear patterns if you load it down for significant miles.
I think the only solution for these cars is to fit them with cargo springs so they will sag less and stiffen up under load. We have a sedan with wagon springs in the back, and they didn't help much.
