On my way to the pizza parlor tonight, while driving ~50 MPH, a black haired young girl dressed all in black except for her bright pink boots with large white polkadots ran across the road in front of me.

I stomped on the brakes and brought the car to a stop but not until I had crossed her path on the roadway. Luckily she was standing on the opposite shoulder by then.

No sqeal, no ABS chatter, insufficient stopping effort, my foot on the floorboard except for the thickness of brake pedal beneath it.

POS ceramic brakes! And this is on an Aero with larger rotors. I am going back to semi-metallic - soon!

BTW, the girl appeared 5 or 6 years old and her clueless mother was two to three houses behind the girl walking the family dog.
