The battery would be the probable culprit .You can't tell by looking at the cables since the corrosion is often inside the wire insulation . Have the battery checked ,they all go bad . Be Careful !! Wear safety goggles and gloves ,as well . At rest an OK battery will read 12.2 -12.6 volts DC ,when it cranks the car takes that charge away , then the alternator should kick in and charge at about 13-14 volts DC . Then it goes back in the 12 volt range .
Batteries have a CCA rating ,which means "Cold Cranking Amperage " This original power diminishes with time , so I take my battery to the service people whenever I Have issues , they have a computer analysis that can diagnose problems .
These cars are very sensitive to bad batteries , and all batteries eventually become bad . Just like tires and wipers and washer fluid and brake components and exhaust systems , they wear out .
A top quality nationally guaranteed battery costs about as much as 2 or 3 tanks of gas and is well worth it . Good Luck
