I replaced the fuel pump cartridge in my 2005 Arc wagon. I want to rebuild the old cassette for my 2004&2005 Aeros. I bought a new Walbro motor insert 5ca606 that has a 1/4"(6mm?) brass nipple. The old motor has a larger (8mm?) plastic nipple. The interior diameters look the same.
I've been trying to wrap my head around attaching the smaller nipple to the larger hose. I've read that using a BMW motorcycle submersible hose does the trick with stainless clamps. Does this replace the entire fuel line up to the T fitting? Or is there some attachment to the existing line? Is the 'flexible' submersible BMW line flexible enough to be clamped onto the 6mm nipple?
Thanks for your help!
