Sounds like the ABS computer. As mentioned here is is not unusual. I had it go on our 2003 Aero and my son's 2004 Aero.
the good news is that it is easy and inexpensive to fix. Saab dealers used to replace the whole system for $3000 +.
It seems that a very tiny wire in the computer will break from heat and vibration. Very common in the Bosch unit. BBA Reman and ATE and others do a wonderful job rebuilding these ABS computers. Go to that auction site and search ATE repair is $70. I have used both ATE and BBA and they are both good.
You remove the battery, the computer module is that black thing on the front of the ABS unit. You unplug the big connector and on later models a smaller one. Then you use a #25 Torx wrench to take out 6 screws and remove the computer. There will be some solenoid inner actuators left hanging. Put a clean plastic zip lock bag over this and tape in place to keep it clean.
Put the battery back in and you can drive the car without ABS.
Ship the unit to the rebuilder and you should have it back in a week. Put is all back together and the lights are out and the system works again.
Do a search here and I am sure you will find lots of information on this failure. Volvo and BMW and others using this same unit also have this failure.
by the way these companies do ACC controllers and they can fix SID displays as well. They give lifetime guarantees by the way.
