1) Spark Plugs went from 30K to 40K when they started using $12 platinum plugs instead of $2.00 regular plugs and they wanted to move the plug change off the 3 year/36,000 mile "free maintenance" schedule. At least, the platinums seem to be able to operate well to 40K.
2) When I've pulled air filters at 30K, they don't look all that bad. Still...
3) Brake fluid *might* make it to 4 years ... if they updated the brake reservoir cap to the rolling seal style. If they still use a vented cap, one that "breathes" as on my '02 ... no way.
4) did you mean 40K for the belt? Not needed on 9-5s. Based on my 9000 experience, I changed mine out at 50K. 50K on my first 9-5 yielded one binding idler pulley, one rattling idler pulley, and many surface cracks on the belt. My second 9000 lived in New Jersey and at 25K the belt was hard and crystalized looking. By comparison, at 50K the OE belt looked like new, and the pulleys were still turning smoothly. At 90K, the replacement "gatorback" was still in good shape and the replacement pulleys were turning smoothly.
