-Full Story-
The ABS/TC/(!) lights came on around New Years. With Op-Com i was able to pull the ABS codes C0070, 0075, 0080, and the communication bus error code. (There may have been one or two more, but i cannot remember them here and now.) I pulled the unit, and sent it to be repaired at Cheap ABS, as it was the 514 part number that "others had been unable to repair". It came back i reinstalled it, and the four lights have remained on. The CEL is not on. Using Op-Com i could see that the same three C00XX codes and clear them. However if i put the car in gear and drive two feet, the same codes will re-appear. When i clear the codes with Op-Com, and refresh, or quit out of the s/w and restart it, they are no error codes found, yet the dash lights reamain on.
So if Op-Com can clear the codes, why are the lights still on? Why are the same codes still appearing immediately again?
Was it not repaired correctly?
Or can the Op-Com not clear the codes?
I know it cannot clear air-bag codes, so it lacks some functionality. If i can get a Tech 2 to clear the codes and they come back, then i know that it is the unit that is not repaired correctly, else the Op-Com cannot clear the codes on my car.
I tried again last night, with a second new Op-Com unit i have but both of the Op-Com units i have failed, and the computer will not recognise them. Tried reinstalling the drivers, but windows says they failed to start (error 10).
