I did this a month or two ago.
After owning Saabs for 13 years this finally happened to me!
I took the key apart, battery out. Took canned air and blew out all of the moisture I could from the electronics board.
I then took the electronic circuit board assembly and put it in a ziploc bag filled with uncooked rice and sealed I left it in there for maybe 4-5 days.
Put everything back together and it worked perfectly...no issues at all. Note that I did not push any of the buttons prior to doing the above (wanted to avoid shorting any component out).
