I have a lot of respect for Larry West's Saab knowledge, but have to disagree on this one.
I use a vacuum fluid extractor, and have used it for YEARS. I think I got mine from Griots garage. You can get from AMAZON too.
It makes the job very simple. PUt the tube in the dipstick. Pump about 10X and just let the fluid be drawn out. You will get about 4 quarts. Refill the same amount. Drive the car, do again 2 more times.
NO JACKING UP.
NO REMOVING LINES.
NO MESS.
I do this on our 3 automatic 95s all the time. Granted there may be some stuff in the bottom of the sump, but you are reciruclating fluid in this process.
This is what I use: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JFJM14/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B000JFJM14&linkCode=as2&tag=thesaabnetwork
