We are so pleased tonight with the job from a local detailer who did an absolutely beautiful polishing and waxing job on our black 9-5. It all began with some white paint spray we picked on the front of the car. We originally asked our Saab dealer to clean it up, but they almost ruined it with some pretty bad swirl marks and only cleaned up half of the spray. Not to mention a gouge they put on the rear bumper installing a Saab hitch.

Then on a recommendation from a friend we went to a place called Custom Portering in Milwaukee. I can't say enough good things about them. They were absolutely great. They frankly brought our car back to life. She, the owner, said she worked on it for more than 4 hours picking off the paint pieces and I believe her. There is just no pride like this. WOW! They even cleaned the wheel wells and inside the doors. I even think it looks better than delivery 6 months ago.

I learned though that our Saab dealer who we thought were respectable has a pretty bad reputation and I wasn't the first person to complain about them. In fact they told me about an owner of a brand new $135,000 Porsche, which had major swirl marks put on by the dealer.

It was definitely worth every dollar to bring our car back to life by an expert. I only wish that I was a good detailer myself to keep our black car nice.

They gave me some tips on waxing so I will need to practice on my own car first. On the other hand I think I’ll have my car detailed.

(Back to loving our Saab car once again, relief! Oh I forgot its black and tomorrow it will look dirty)
