Coolant temp sensor

I am trying to identify the coolant temp sensor. I think it is on the DS of the engine and has a blue plastic plug. Is This a plug that goes over a male spade of the sensor in the block. If that is the case then the sensor unscrews from the engine and I do not need to trace down a wire to unplug it at the other end?
Any caution about locally available parts or do I need to worry about oem?
