AC hose replacement Posted by Markatl [Email] (#1833) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Markatl) on Mon, 7 Apr 2014 10:06:05 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The last two years I have had to have the AC recharged, both times though lasting through the summer. Once again a recharge is needed. My mechanic said all dye leaked out quickly and it was determined the lower AC hose, running paralell with the radiator from the condenser to the evaporator(a two piece line that connects to the second section under the AMM) was the culprit. Anybody ever had to replace this $100 part? Was fearing the worst and was getting ready to replace the compressor but hopefully this is it. I Cant find any past posts on this subject and hoping it will be this simple fix. Once replaced I will take it in for the recharge. Any thoughts, experiences, suggestions?
Also, this line seems to be leaking where it is only metal but maybe the rubber flex portion has a hole and it is spraying on this area? I guess the metal part can get a pinhole leak?
thanks,
Mark
