lack of power Posted by allissaab [Email] (#1488) [Profile/Gallery] (more from allissaab) on Sun, 25 May 2014 07:05:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
On a 1999 SE 4 cylinder with 185,000 miles. Am experiencing a lack of power particularly when warmed up. No CELs, just really slow to respond to gas pedal almost like the horsepower has been cut in half. Car has in the last 20,000 miles had a new CPS,DIC, and rebuilt throttle body and was running really well particularly after the new throttle body about a month ago. One more thing, when warmed up and under hard acceleration above 3000 rpm can hear a slight knocking (maybe loud pinging)and I can not reproduce that knocking when the car is stationary (probably can't load the engine enough). That knocking or pinging was not there before the lack if power. Kind of feels like I have no turbo boost or exhaust is restricted. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
