Ok, here's the update.
A swapped in new DIC produces the same issues, which have gotten worse, now missing all the time. I haven't run it up to normal operating temp yet to stay close by....
I checked for vacuum leak, and have not discovered any, but that can be a red herring, as they are sometimes difficult to locate.
My Saab-knowledgeable Indy can't see me until a week from Wednesday, so I guess he's getting too big for me to continue with....need to start fostering a new relationship...
Autozone doesn't have any pressure gauges (Lend) to read the fuel pressure, which I'd like to try , but can't throw money for tools into these diagnostics and keep Sonny in College too.
Crank Position Sensor?
O2 Sensor?
Fuel Pressure Relay?
Fuel Pump going bad?
I suppose my next self-help step is to change the fuel filter, since this vehicle is new to me last year, and not sure when that might have been done (97K now....)
The CPS might not be so bad to do myself, and fairly reasonable $.....I did read the Swedecar's tip on reading electrical resistance after a hot idle. Not sure where the Fuel Pressure Relay is yet, but that could be solved.
(no its not the big air intake, sadly....)
I will be happy to consider all worthwhile suggestions....
Thanks
'03 Aero.
