I followed the instructions yesterday posted regarding the loose wing mirror on the passenger side but upon further investingastion discovered that the pin attached to the spring from the plate attached to the car and the actual wing loaded mirror housing has been dislodged due to what must have been a collision. My problem is although I can get to the pin I need to thread it back through the spring attachment and the other side of the mirror housing which is impossible without removing the outer color matched cover. is there either a way to put the pin in without removing the outer cover or how do I remove the outer color matched cover without damaging it? Budget is a problem but time is not.
