I used Hutchinson OEM upper transmission mounts on two cars now and we're happy. If you are sensitive about vibration you may want to stick with this more compliant rubber mount. By the way, I am curious what caused you to take the battery out and see that it was torn - just thorough preventive maintenance? If so, good for you!
I just recently replaced the PCV check valve and tube you refer to on an '05 Arc with 127K miles. I replaced the other hoses too, but not the trap itself. If you have an '09 I would be tempted to leave the rest of the hoses for now. None of the other hoses I replaced were terribly bad, and your car has fewer years on it.

P.S. It's a really good idea to keep the PCV working ! Others who know should chime in, but I'm not sure it will set a CEL until it causes some other ill effects to the engine.
