I sourced two DIC's through the retail stores in two different states that were Chinese and finally received a OEM unit that I ordered through their website. I spoke to the folks at Wells multiple times about the non oem units floating around their in store inventory. their response is , "wells ahs always been the Saab DIC suppliers and have always sourced through the Saab channel BUT they feel the Chinese units kicking around the store inventory might be units sourced during the parts shortage a few years back. They assured me every order Saab DIC/IDM that is processed through the Autozone online store is sent out from them. I just received mine and in fact is is OEM, third time is a charm. Lucky for me mine only coded during extended drive and in town has not been a issue. After the 20% discount I have a OEM for under $200. If you are down maybe not a great solution but after a few mishaps I saved a ton of money. FYI, it should ship from Iowa when yiy track your order since that is where the Wells distribution center is located.
