I've been using the larger filters that are compatible with SAABs for the 9-5, so the PT Cruiser turbo filters. The best locally readily available ones are Mobil 1, but cost is pretty high, and I would be as happy to use Purolator or Bosch or whatnot (my indy uses bosch, but the normal size). The long size gets more filter area in the can and they fit in most saabs, though I tend to just use the short ones in the c900's. I've used Mann for them also - cheap and seem to work well. c900's are less sensitive to oil etc, I do 3k km oil changes on those cars with 10w30, so way cheaper and less touchy than on the 9-5 which gets mobil 1 0w40 every 5k miles or better religiously (and if I can every 5k km). I avoid Fram due to horror stories, but unfortunately Fram dominates the stock in most local stores, hence no cheaper options than Mobil 1 (excluding fram) for the PT cruiser turbo size.
