Bushing woes Posted by Brianatl [Email] (#1832) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Brianatl) on Thu, 21 Aug 2014 13:18:18 In Reply to: Re: Strut woes - Update, SWEDECAR [Profile/Gallery] , Thu, 21 Aug 2014 08:05:22 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Thanks. Shop says the rear bushings ("Lemforder OEM")are fine but there is play in the front ones and reminded me that I had supplied the front ones!! OOps. Yep, I remember getting a pair of (neoprene?)bushings to round out an order to get free shipping probably a year whatever ago thinking sooner or later I would use them given that folks on this board have recommended them. So when shop said I needed new control arm bushings I supplied the pair I had and they were installed without negative comment. Needless to say, I won't be supplying any parts to a shop again! To hear though that Swedecar has never had to replace control arm bushings is surprising to me. Atlanta weather is much wetter and somewhat hotter than LA... go figure. Advise anyone else to stick with OEM bushings. BTW, my other '02 Linear sedan has more miles on it (139k)but is rolling great with the original control arm bushings.
