It's sort of like the rooster taking credit for the dawn - unless you do a little "controlled" experimenting.
My original experiment: Aero exhibits hard starting after cold overnight temps in early Fall - low 40's. Run gas down 'till idiot light is lit, then to SID showing about 15 miles to empty. Immediately take car to Sunoco, fill up with 1/4 tank. Park again overnight, same temps, approx.
Next morning, Aero starts up with no stumbling. Drive until low on fuel as per the above. Put in 1/4 tank of Mobil, drive home and park. Car sits overnight, same general overnight temps. Car stumbles badly several times when trying to start next morning.
At beginning of day, add bottle of Techron concentrate, drive car during the day, let sit overnight again. Stumbling not improved, next morning. Run out fuel as per the above. Fill up with Sunoco, let sit overnight. Starts up fine next morning, no stumbling.
BTW, if there's ever an evening in the Fall when it stays above about 50° - like last night, f'rinstance, the Aero always starts right up with no stumbling the next morning.
Maybe not perfectly scientific, but good enough to convince me...
