The impression I got from reviews is that these are really not at all snow and ice friendly... some reviewers found them downright scarey in that stuff! I'm not surprised by that and I bought them as a summer only tire that maybe works a little better in the shoulder seasons than a pure summer. I run full blown Nokian winter tires in winter... but we get a lot of snow and really cold temps here. You might be ok in NJ? I'm not too sure what the climate is like there exactly in the winter. If mainly cool temps and rain, these should be great!
